It’s been some time, but I told you I would give you an “Recap” of what I’ve been doing for the last few years, when I was on my hiatus. Soooo….
2013 – 2014
I wrote a book y’all!!! For years wanted to do something to inspirer young ladies/girls to love themselves, flaws and all. Some of you may know that I had scoliosis surgery at the age of 12, but I did not let that stop me from doing what I enjoyed doing and loving the body that I was in. This confidence came as a result of knowing who I was in God at a early age AND having a strong, beautiful, confident mama!! Side Note: We HAVE TO give our children and the children around us self-worth and pride in who they were create to be (children of God, the King of Kings = King’s Kids). The book is called Beautiful Imperfections. If you are interested in ordering the book, reach out to me. Also, I created a I Love My Scars campaign. The message behind this is, “Scars are an overcomer beauty mark”. I Love My Scars means that you have triumphed over events in your life that have caused a physical or emotional wounds. Now that the wounds have healed, you have the scars that tell your story. That’s what’s up, right??? We are all overcomers, in one way or another. Go to https://www.facebook.com/I-Love-My-Scars-575306729182032/ and like my I Love My Scars Facebook page and look at the pics from my book signing. Fun times!! If you want to order a I Love My Scars t-shirt, go to http://ilovemyscars.bigcartel.com and place your order. Thank you in advance for your support!!
Well that’s pretty much the most exciting thing that happened in 2013 and 2014, besides being the Maid of Honor in my beautiful friend, Cassondra Whitaker’s wedding, the Ice Bucket Challenge, attending Forest Whitaker’s event, and the 1st Annual Architects of Change gala (pics below) . In my next post I will “Recap” 2015.
*You see me in the back doing some random dance??? lol
Until the next time stay, “Beautiful, Sassy, and Sophisticated!!”
